The Village of the Turtles

A Gonfaron, in Provence, in a natural and unspoiled, the Village of the turtles is a place where you study, you welcome and protect the turtles, especially the Hermann’s breed, endangered species in France.

In a wonderful landscape, with a vegetation of oak, chestnut and lavender, are accepted about 2,500 turtles, which are kept, bred and released into nature.

To reach Gonfaron and the turtle village, via the A8 motorway, take the exit Toulon-Le Luc and proceed towards Toulon. At Gonfaron exit, proceed to Les Mayons.
